Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Preschool to 5th Grade
The Northstar NextGen Ministry exists to partner with parents in leading their children (babies to 5th grade) to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Our desire is for every child to come to know and love Jesus and passionately follow Him the rest of their life.
Preschool (Birth – 5 years old)
The preschool age functions as the foundation for the child’s spiritual journey. Since a child cannot love with his heart what he does not know with his mind, the goal of NorthStar Preschool Ministry is to provide concrete, gospel-centered fundamental truths about God, the Bible, Worship, Prayer, and Salvation. Our prayer is that the information gleaned in these younger years will be awakened by the Holy Spirit in later years, leading to salvation.
Elementary (K – 5th)
As concrete information about God and the Bible is still being poured into the minds of these children, a shift starts to take as we place more focus on faith. NorthStar Elementary ministry exists in order to help a child connect the truth of God’s Word to their heart. As this process unfolds, our prayer is that all children would understand the Gospel and enter into a saving faith relationship with Jesus Christ.

What To Expect in NS Kids
We are so passionate about kids learning about Jesus in a way they can understand that we offer our kids their own worship experience where they learn the Gospel through song, stories from the Bible and in small groups to talk about Scripture together. We are intentional to make sure we are providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes freedom in worship, community, and ample learning opportunities.
Wednesday Nights – 6:30 PM
Wednesday nights are a time where we go a little deeper with our kids. We focus more on Bible literacy, prayer, missions, and discipleship. Though the teaching time is a bit more in-depth on Wednesday nights, so is the fun! The games are messier, worship is louder, and the energy is over the top.
