We believe that every first impression makes a huge impact and that the sermon starts in the parking lot! Volunteers on our Host team make our guests feel at home by helping to find parking, greeting them at the doors, helping them to their seats, and assisting in collecting offering or passing out additional information to our attendees during the service.
Volunteers get the opportunity to shepherd and care for our littlest ones on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings. They check in kids, lead classrooms, provide assistance to classroom teachers and care for babies and toddlers.
Elementary (K – 5th Grade)
Volunteers minister to our K – 5th graders on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings. They check in kids, lead classrooms, provide assistance to classroom teachers, lead worship, and help with sound and media.
Volunteers in our student ministry get the opportunity to build and foster relationships with students, ministering to them through the teaching of Scripture, worship and intentional discipleship. They check in students, greet students, set up events, lead small groups, sing or play on the worship team, and work media.
Authentic worship at NorthStar is at the core of all we do. When we come together in worship, we praise God for what He has done and is doing in our lives and the lives of others. The multimedia and worship ministry volunteers are dedicated to creating an atmosphere of worship for the body of NorthStar that lends itself to engaging with the Father’s heart.
Weekend services at NorthStar simply could not happen without our knowledgeable and committed multimedia volunteers. Volunteers in this ministry are responsible for ProPresenter, Lighting, Sound, and Video.
We value passionate and authentic worship at NorthStar because we believe the name of Jesus Christ deserves the absolute best. Due to the technical nature of these volunteer positions, auditions are held periodically for vocalists and instrumentalists with the Worship ministry team.
