Middle School & High School

Northstar Student Ministry includes students in grades 6th-12th and takes place on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings. The heartbeat of our ministry is to bring glory to God by leading our students to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We believe this mission statement is best accomplished as students GATHER together as believers, CONNECT to one another in life, SERVE the church and others in need, GIVE their time and resources, and GO out to proclaim the Gospel.

Middle School (6th – 8th)

Middle School is a time where students really begin to experience change from childhood into adolescence. Our student ministry wants to partner with parents in helping our Middle School students navigate this time of change. At Northstar, our Middle School students will have the opportunity to be placed into a Life Group full of people specific to their age and gender. It is crucial for a student that a foundation is laid that allows them to form a God honoring identity.

High School (9th – 12th)

High School is the time when students begin to experience more and more freedom from their parents. Our student ministry wants to partner with parents in helping them begin the process of preparing their children to be adults who make wise choices regarding every aspect of life.

At Northstar, our High School students will have the opportunity to be placed into a Life Group full of people specific to their age and gender. We believe it is crucial for High School to be able to discern situations on their own that bring honor and glory to God.

What To Expect in NS Students

Wednesday Nights – 6:45 – 8:00 PM West (7-8:15 PM South)

The Wednesday night student worship service is the primary place where our students will gather together for corporate worship, corporate prayer, and Bible study. This is a time when our students can come together and fellowship with fellow believers in a safe environment.

Life Groups

We want our students to connect with Christ and with each other in Gospel centered community in our Life Groups. Our West Campus Life Groups meet on Sunday mornings from 10:00-10:55 am in “The Cellar,” which is downstairs around the backside of the building.  Our South Campus Life Groups meet at 6:30pm on Sunday.

The groups are gender and grade specific and meet in circles to study the Bible together.  All Life Group Leaders are trained adults who have had background checks.
