EQUIP GROUPS
These are short-term groups (around 6-12 weeks) that provide relational environments to equip people for growing in a specific skill or area of life.

LIFE GROUPS
Because discipleship happens in relationships, Northstar Life Groups exist to foster relational environments where we can grow together toward being fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Life groups grow together in their knowledge of God through intentional study, intentional fellowship, and living on mission together.

GROWTH TRACK

Growth Track is designed to help you deeply engage in the body of Northstar. You’ll learn more about who we are, what we believe, and how you can start serving. This is also your pathway to becoming a covenant partner at Northstar. Most of our serving opportunities require Growth Track attendance, so this is the perfect next step.

          SHORT-TERM MISSION TEAMS

          Northstar works toward fulfilling our global vision by sending short-term teams and long-term missionaries. Our primary aim in sending is to help start churches where they do not exist or to empower the local church to fulfill its mission. Our 2024 trip schedule will be posted by October 2023.

          NS NEIGHBORS

          NS Neighbors is our expression of local missions in our city. These teams seek to disciple and mobilize the Northstar family to be and bring the good news of Jesus to the Knoxville area. Serve on one of our local teams or let us know you are interested in leading one.

          GIVE JOYFULLY

          While Scripture is clear that giving financially is one of the ways Jesus calls us to serve, he is ultimately interested in the motivations of our heart when we give. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
          We want to be a church that is marked by Gospel generosity. Maybe God is asking you to trust him in the area of your finances this year by:

          • Giving for the very first time
          • Becoming a consistent giver
          • Committing to a Biblical tithe by giving 10% of your income
          • Going over and beyond and giving more than 10%

          However God is leading you in this area, do it with a joyful and cheerful heart.
